Refund and Cancellation Policy

This page summarises how refunds, cancellations and changes are handled for event tickets purchased via EventSeat. Our platform generally acts as a ticketing infrastructure; in many cases, the final rules are determined by the event organiser.

Organiser Rules

For each event, applicable refund and change conditions are set by the organiser and, where possible, shown on the event page or during purchase. Campaigns, discounted tickets or special categories (e.g. group/VIP tickets) may be subject to different rules.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, refunds, validity of tickets for the new date or alternative solutions (e.g. credit vouchers) will be handled according to the organiser's instructions. As far as possible, refunds are processed via the same payment method used for purchase.

Cancellation by the Customer

Regardless of the event date, the customer's unilateral right to cancel may be limited for many ticket sales. Under the Distance Sales Agreement and applicable law (in particular BGB § 312g), the right of withdrawal may be restricted where the event date falls before the end of the withdrawal period. Please always review the event-specific cancellation/refund conditions before purchasing.

Date / Category Changes

Requests to change the date, upgrade the ticket category or make similar changes are subject to organiser approval and may be handled differently per event. In some cases, only an upgrade to a higher category with an additional fee may be possible; in such cases, please contact customer service or the organiser.

Refund Fees and Deductions

When processing refunds, the organiser or platform may exclude certain fees from the refund (e.g. service fees, shipping charges). Any such deductions will be indicated in the event terms and conditions in advance.

Refunds for Online Payments

For online payments, refund amounts are, where possible, returned via the same card or payment method. Due to banking processes, it may take several business days before the refund appears in your account. For more details, please refer to our Online Payment Terms.
