This page explains the main rules and security measures for online payments made via EventSeat. It has been prepared with regard to German law (BGB) and EU payment security standards (in particular 3D Secure / SCA).

Payment Methods Used

Payments are primarily taken by debit/credit card. Supported card schemes and any additional methods (if available) are clearly listed at checkout. The payment provider or supported methods may change over time; the information displayed at checkout is always decisive.

Security and 3D Secure

Payments are processed over an encrypted TLS connection. Where applicable, 3D Secure or similar strong customer authentication (SCA) methods are used. Your card details are not stored on EventSeat servers; they are processed only by our authorised payment provider.

Authorisation of Payments

Your card is usually charged at the time you confirm your order or shortly thereafter. In some cases, an initial pre-authorisation may be taken; once the transaction is completed, the pre-authorisation is either captured or released.

Service and Processing Fees

If any service or processing fee is charged in addition to the ticket price, this will be clearly displayed at checkout. You will always see the total amount per order (ticket price, service fee, shipping if applicable) before you confirm the purchase.

Execution of Refunds

If a refund or cancellation is approved, the amount will, where possible, be returned via the same payment method used for the original transaction. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several business days before the refund appears on your account statement.

Chargebacks and Disputes

If you suspect an error or unauthorised use, please contact us and your bank first. For chargeback procedures initiated with your card issuer, the rules of your bank and the relevant card scheme will apply.
